When you buy direct you have control over the buying-selling process and you will find resources here that will be helpful. This website is your resource if you are thinking about buying a new home or having a contractor build one for you. Start by looking at our listings of new homes, ones that are currently under construction, and lots for purchase.
STARTER HOME PLANS
Multibuilders is presenting affordable house plans by licensed architect Paul Spite. He has extensive background in commercial buildings (ex: churches, office buildings) as well as homes, and has been involved in the building process as well as supervising the work. He knows what works and what problems builders face.
Because renting is often about as expensive as building, AFD Consulting has developed floor plans for smaller homes. These range from 855 to 2050 square feet with the majority in the 1000 - 1400 SF range. They are ideal for first time home buyers or retirees wanting to downsize. They are designed for build-ability and mass appeal. The purchase of one of these house plans for $175.00, gives the purchaser up to one hour of requested changes to the plan, prior to it being sent to them by email. It allows the purchaser a one-time use of their purchased plan on a single building site. The purchaser will be contacted with additional pricing, if the requested modifications are anticipated to exceed the allotted one hour. Each model is offered in a simple plan format containing information usually needed by a builder.
Each plan listed below contains both simple brochure drawings and working drawings. These consist of a floor plan with generic window designations, a simple cabinet layout plan, two or three alternate front elevations with varying roof lines, and smaller elevations of the other sides of the home, based upon one front elevation only.
Each plan has either two or three different front elevations for repetitive use in developments.
Each is designed with a simple truss system in mind to be used for the roof framing, minimal veneer, and minimal windows.
A number of the plans incorporate a split bedroom layout.
Each plan is formatted to be plotted on a 34 x 22 sheet, which allows a print to fold to an 8 1/2 x 11 size for easy inclusion in a folder.
Models currently being offered can be found in the List of Models below. A link is provided through which the brochure version of the plan that works best for you may be downloaded, printed, and marked with desired changes. With the fee, that marked up plan can be submitted to AFD Consulting for desired modifications to your project.

Purchase of these plans is a two-step process. First, print off a copy of the brochure drawings for the model you are purchasing. On that brochure drawing of your plan, clearly mark all desired changes to the plan you are purchasing. Also write all the following very clearly on the same brochure plan:
The name of the home owner for whom this plan is intended.
A lot number and subdivision name, if applicable, for the site upon which this house will be built.
The front elevation desired, out of the choices shown.
What material is desired where the brick is shown on that elevation? Brick, stone, or siding?
A mailing address for the purchaser and a very clearly written e-mail address for the same (this is where the completed plan will be sent)
The name of the company that will build the home, if the builder has already been chosen
A phone number where the purchaser of the plan may be contacted, to answer any questions.
This marked up copy of the brochure plan should then be scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. A hard copy of the marked up brochure plan may also be mailed via snail mail to AFD Consulting, 950 Helen Court, Cookeville, TN 38501.
If the purchase is being made by snail mail, include a check for $175.00, made out to AFD Consulting, with the marked up brochure drawing. If purchasing online, go to the shopping cart to purchase the one time use of a plan through PayPal. Once the scanned copy of the brochure version of the requested plan has received via e-mail, or by snail mail, and payment is confirmed to have been received, work will commence. Afterwards, working drawings for the desired model plan, including requested modifications to that plan, will be emailed to the indicated e-mail address.
If purchased online, the revised working drawings will be received within a week of receipt of payment and marked up brochure drawings. If purchasing by snail mail, this may take as long as two and one half weeks after receipt of payment and marked up brochure drawings.
